Deep learning is a subset of machine learning that uses neural networks with many layers (hence the term “deep”) to learn from large amounts of data. Deep learning algorithms attempt to model high-level abstractions in data by using a deep graph with multiple processing layers, each of which transforms the input data to progressively more abstract and composite representations.
Deep learning has been particularly successful in tasks such as image and speech recognition, natural language processing, and playing board and video games. It has led to significant advancements in AI capabilities and has been instrumental in the development of technologies such as autonomous vehicles and medical diagnosis systems.
